World Rugby-backed USA development team to join MLR

A World Rugby development team will be added to MLR this season. The focus of this team will be on playing Americans and they will only be using up to 6 of their foreign players slots. There will also be a small draft to pick some US eligible players from other teams.

This is a spin-off off the recently revived USA Hawks program which brought together 30 or so u23 players to compete against other age grade programs. They met last year for about 2 months and planned to meet this year for 2-3 months before the MLR season.

The team will be based in Charlotte, NC.
