The winners list are gradually being revealed for the much anticipated 2024 EFL Awards, which took place on Sunday the 14th of April.
The 2024 EFL Awards celebrates and recognises the continued efforts and achievements of Championship, League One and League Two clubs, players and individuals during what has been an incredibly challenging season for everyone.
The guests arrived at Grosvenor House in London with proceedings starting at 6pm and expected to end at around 10pm.
Contribution to League Football Award
The Contribution to League Football Award winner is former Blackpool and Manchester City player Paul Stewart!
Speaking on stage after winning the award, Paul Stewart said: “I want to dedicate this award to all those who had the dream I did, to be a footballer, but little did I know that was the dream that lead to me suffering physical and sexual abuse.
“I want to dedicate this to all my colleagues who suffered and continue to suffer from the abuse becausr they dared to have a dream and to all those who are not with us because the abuse was too much to bare.”

Speaking on stage, Luke Chambers said: “It was a bit of a surprise to be honest. To be here is absolutely incredible with all these incredible players, people and staff of the EFL.”
He continued: “There’s nothing I can really pick out. I left football and had to have a break, so I haven’t really taken stock of everything I’ve achieved during my career until tonight to be honest.”

“The Portsmouth fans over the last 15 years have gone through a fair bit. For them to be able to experience a bit of success would mean the world to everyone connected to the Football Club and give the fans a reward for all of the hardship they’ve been through.”
