Former Vodacom Bulls wing Madosh Tambwe has challenged superstar footballer Kylian Mbappe to race for the title of sporting speedster.

Tambwe responded on social media to a BBC Sport report that PSG and France striker Mbappe clocked an estimated speed of 10.9 seconds over 100m, which is close to the world record set by legendary Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt.

“I ran it at 10.6 [seconds] (even slow for heat times),” Tambwe said on Twitter.

“Let’s race and put this to the test.”

A video posted on SuperSport’s social media channels shows that if the two were to go head-to-head on the track, it would be a close contest.

Currently playing for Bordeaux, Tambwe has made 28 appearances in all competitions for the French Top 14 club, scoring 15 tries.
